Dear, Come and Listen
Sometimes you need to explain yourself to those who don't wanna hear!

Oh, my dear, come a little near
I have something I wish to tell ye.
Flowers blooming, once a year
remind me of a love at a fee,
yet, us, we, are a special pair.
We freely love with no prospect of despair;
come here, darling, and listen closely.
I wish to whisper you a secret to your ear.
It isn't what you expect, but not morosely
I swear, it's the best thing you'll hear all year.

Sit down, my love, and close your eyes.
Do not fear, no harm will come to pass,
but sit softly, so ye can feel what truth belies.
I know we dwell in the city, yet imagine the grass;
imagine the cool wind that blows
our thoughts and love wherever the wind goes.
I wish not to appear a madman, though one I am,
inform me if you believe me going awry
and I'll do, my love, what I surley can.
But forget about the chance of lies.

Oh! my sweet, you are most adorable.
I could not infringe on your smile.
Few things, unto you, are as comparable
but the whirling stars above the linger a while,
the stars above, in subtle beauty, just twink
and you, dearest, just wink.
Now, if I am to tell ye this, you must hold my hand
and have no fear, we are comfortable
here; our love is like none in the land.
No two others are nearest comparable.

Come here, my darling, please, for me?
I know I've failed ye many-a-time
but trust me so, I do love ye
and for you I'd do so more than rhyme.
Ye may be walking down the road,
but do not detest, for truth betold
lovers make many-a-mistake,
both may break completely
yet it is ne'er enough to forsake
a love as true, or as grand as you and me.
