Share the Laughter I was in the bookstore when my phone went off. "Arf arf arf! Arf arf arf!" my phone blathered from my pocket. My face turned a little bit red because I knew the man down the aisle noticed the peculiar ringtone. When I lifted the phone to my ear, I saw him snorting bemusedly, trying not to laugh too loudly in the store. I couldn't help but grin as I turned away, answering the phone. I love being laughed at. Maybe I'm just a shameless attention seeker, but I prefer to think that I can't resist sharing the laughter. If it's as silly as a loud, barking ringtone on my phone, or it's a comedy short story in my portfolio, it makes my day to make someone else smile, or better yet, laugh. Smile today. Just for me. And if any of my stories make you laugh, or smile, or perhaps grin, just a little bit, be sure to tell me. Because that's when I know I've achieved one of the most important goals I'll ever set for myself. Really, to make your day a little brighter would just make my day.
