Wild Horses
This poem is inspired by a Danbury Mint collectible "The Horseman's Pickup".

the beating of horses feet,
thundering across the open prairies
the majestically graceful animals
dancing in the rippling grass.
nature’s fury caused by man
building on what was their homeland
The dance of the Mustang almost lost
as population grows, wildlife shudders
where will they go as the bulldozer
pushes the earth to build one more house,
one more skyscraper, or one more city?
