I would be suicidal
An autobiographical poem about getting through life's rough spots.

I would be suicidal,
but I'm too afraid to die.
I looked into the mirror,
what I saw made me cry.

A face was looking back at me,
a face I should have known.
The saddest smile of a human life
that has finally come un-sewn.

I would be suicidal,
but I'm too afraid to die.
I looked at all my family,
what I saw made me cry.

A mother too caught up in work,
to see her child's hurt.
A sister too beat up at school
to see the life she's worth.

I would be suicidal,
but I'm too afraid to die.
I looked into my soul,
what I saw made me cry.

A girl too strong to give into pain.
A life to dear to waste.
The motivation to see this through,
despite the crippling pain.
