HOLD THOSE MEMORIES
As an old Army veteran I can answer on the spot. Inspired by your spoken words, here is my poem like a shot. May dreams of independence be with you evermore, something all should have without a need for war. Maybe you can find the way to wash away the fears, save one child or family, from those awful tears. Yesterday is gone but hold those memories. Tell them to your children while sitting on your knees. Today is here right now and it has just begun. Take time out to be of help, don’t take it on the run. Too fast this day will pass, soon it will be tomorrow. Cause a bit of laughter; don’t lend yourself to sorrow. 09/12/11 Monty
