Things are not the same. She meets rowdy neighbors and a challenge of her cooking. Scene1: Overview Lilly, Ezra, and boys tour the apartment. They are so pleased. Lilly documented every corner: Windows, carpet, celling, blinds, everything in photos Meeting management and paying rent Scene 2: Overview In the apartment family playing video games with boys and helping her fix dinner and meeting the interesting neighbors up stairs Scene 3: Overview Lilly looses her confidence in her cooking. Scene 1 Setting: Apartment living room. The sun is shinning onto the new carpet through the nice long white blinds. 1. The Central Character will give one or more monologues. #1.. Will be given when Lilly sees the apartment...talks about the trip from the trailor to a nice place in a beautiful community #2..sitting in front of her apartment at sunset...about adjusting from in hills to living city 2. The two Supporting Characters will give one or more monologues. Ezra thinks while Lilly speaks on the phone..about how it feels to be with family after a year 3. The Central Character will appear in the first scene. In the living room of her new apartment 4. The Central Character will be involved in one or more dialogues. Lilly and Ezra speaks to Tess as they walk through the apartment asking questions about it. Lilly speaks to 3 charities on phone for help for deposits Lilly, Ezra, Christy, and the boys discuss their plans for living in the apartmen 5. Should run not more than about eight minutes. 6. The Dramatic Premise is in evidence. Seeing the difference between Kentucky living and this lovely big apartment 7. Foreshadowing is evidenced. Upstairs neighbor watching and fussing on a cell phone about his roommate 8. A symbol is evidenced. Being here for her was as if she was moving to another planet 9. Give initial snapshot othe Central Character. Lilly is a largf e white woman in her forties. Brown hair, green eyes, glasses, and only a little over 5 feet tall. Ezra is 5' 10”. He is slim in his thirties. Restaurant manager 10. First Crisis Getting power, water, phone, cable deposits Signing the lease..realizing that we had to live in one place for a year no matter what fade at the office Scene 2 Setting: In the apartment family playing video games with boys and helping her fix dinner 1. Must include the three primiary actors. Lilly, Ezra, boys 2. Should run not more than twenty minutes. 3. Must include an element of humor. Gaming remarks between the males, and Ezra startled Lilly causing her to spray herself with flour 4. Show evidence ot the "Dramatic Ingredinets.” Our children playing with neighbor's children in from of the apartment... meeting 2d drunk and yelling at the playing kids .. daytime 5. Show Central Character realization of the problem That drinking neighbors are no match with a drinking partner. 6. Second Crisis homesickness and wanting to move out.. due to neighbors … causes disputes between Lilly and Ezra Scene 3 Setting: Lilly stands pouting in the kitchen. She is crying while putting away leftover dinner. 1. Show third crisis/climax don't cook like his mother 2. Must include the Central Character Lilly gets defensive about her cooking 3. Show conflict leading to resolution Ezra begins to cook with Lilly. 4. Show change in the Central Character. Lilly cooks a meal of barbeque rib, patatoe salad, stuffing and coleslaw. 5.
