The Wish of a Battered Soul
Just a poem I wrote.

Weary as the day is long
I want to rest
To change this song
To sing a tune
Of angelic bliss
Release my soul
From this abyss
Wonder where new fortune lies
Not on this earth--
        Beyond the skies!
Somewhere far
And so pristine
Not this dark and dreary dream
Where here I perish
Here I die
While looking for sweet lullaby
To set me on a brand new course
Escape this place
Its harsh discourse
And let my soul soar yonder fast
Into the heavens
Home at last
