YES YOU GOT EVERYTHING

You turned away and left me
on that December night,
and just walked right out the door,
Taking with you my light.

Breaking all your promises,
to make our house a home.
You left me with broken dreams,
so very much alone.

Most everything can be fixed
when it's broken apart.
It doesn’t seem to be that way
with a fragmented heart.

Many days turned into weeks,
those to a year or so.
I still couldn’t see the light that
you took, that year ago.

But as I read the judgement
in the divorce decree,
darkness is slowly lifting,
You got the best of me.

Clearly now I see the light,
you got to keep the ring,
the house, the car, the money,
Yes you got everything!
