left your shoes
soldier boy ~

for every time
I thought to leave
I was waiting your hello
(are you here)
I’ve wandered back
seeking hands
I used to know
how you felt
and how you feel
(do you remember)
how it was
when there was nothing
left to say
a moment came
(was that enough)
bound to places - sacred verse
making something more
of rhyme
was more than space
could ever hold
more than love by words defined
returned the night
into the day
without the fear of getting old
promise touching
(one more time)
wishes withered in the cold
south and west
and north they came
took your heart and left
your shoes
took the place (I hold within)
I couldn’t keep
(I couldn’t lose)
strange it is
though seems so real
forgotten not a moment there
but still I wonder
where you are
and will you come
for me (somewhere)
