Assignment #2 - Q & A

Discussion Topic

After completing this lesson did you feel more confident commenting on plot, conflict, and structure in your reviews?

Yes, I did. The topics were a reminder of "Freitag's Pyamid" which was taught
in the "Sunrise Class" last winter at Horizon. It refreshed my memory, I also
gained more confidence in pointing out different things in my reviews. I think
I held back, thinking I might offend the writer. A writer really wants to know how he/she can improve their writing.

Do you feel that the information learned in this lesson was useful? Why or why not?

Yes. Although I "knew" things, I tend to forget them. I get many senior moments
like that!*Laugh*.

Joy's comments on my reviews are "gems of knowledge" and this helped me
go further.

How did you determine the rating for the pieces you reviewed?

This was hard and I hate it. The last review I did, I had to lower my rating, because of too many grammatical errors and lack of descriptive writing. Even though the story held so much promise and I hoped he understood my reasoning.
I did say, if he does another rewrite, I would love to review it again

Thanks again, Joy for your expertise.*Smile*.
