Daylight Surprise Suddenly there she was, right before me Her magnificence apparent our eyes met. Beauty of this kind is rare but so real How lucky I was there as she walked by. Taken back by sight of one another. Do not know which of us was more surprised. White tailed doe of captivating beauty. Stepped from behind a tree with stunning eyes. She did not seem alarmed she shook her tail. She twitched her nose and I heard a light sigh. At first she was confused which way to run She seemed calm and quietly made a turn. Leapt sprightly then she started her withdrawal. Her long legs moved with grace and were in flight. It was as though she had wings and radar. Gone from sight in what seemed like seconds. Treated this morning to a special delight Nature untainted by fences or chains My heart jumped as she made her escape. Will not soon forget the parting look she gave. Think she was aware of this moment rare Performance clearly a joy to behold. Made my daily walk all the sweeter today My soul was ignited without warning.
