Eyes of coal burn fire through me,
cascading shadows is all I see. When in the depths of darkness morn, I reach for her as she is reborn. Frayed attire adorns the floor, my love for her I do abhor. Come wintertime a breeze flows free; my heart releases a spirit lonely. Now, the night has taken her soul, bright eyes of charcoal, they do console. What do I owe you, Goddess of Shade? When blood-angels cry, I am afraid. Kneel down beside me; feel my pain, offer up yourself to the Heaven’s sweet rain. Only then will you truly awaken inside; my one true seraph, in you I confide.
