Exuberant Imperfection
This is a word that is part of my NaNoWri class. I found it to be very interesting and comfronting at the same time. Some may think that it is a contridiction to its self. The more that I think about it, the more I like it. You have heard the old saying "nobody's perfect". When using this frame the things we do easier. Can you be perfect and still make mistakes? Yes. Writing is much easier if this is you montoe. I can write my story without worring about being perfect. I can get the ideas onto paper unedited (unjudged). I find that I am more at ease since I am learning the meaning of these words. I don;t have to look over my work with an editor's eye. I can write, get my story out, and then work from there. The story is inside trying to get out, but sometimes we over think it. We try to make it perfect from the beginning. I hope that I can change my habbits, and be able to get the story onto the page without hitting that delete button so many times. I don't want to spend too much thinking about if this fits or not. That can be decided later. The book will change during editing I'm sure, but for now it is perfect as it is poured onto the screen. It is unpolished, untouched, and unfinished, much like its author. We are still creating our lives, and we will keep living without having the advantage of deleting or crossing things that we don't like. This is the way I plan to write my novel.
