I observed the young man on his walk within the Temple, it was clear that he was noticeably uncomfortable.
He walked up and down the steps looking around for a welcomed place to sit. Standing at the rail to the second level, he gazed timidly at the Temple priest as he made his way up to the second level. The priest, adorned in gorgeous vestments of white and gold, and swinging a golden censer that filled the air with scented smoke in his elaborate ritual cleansing. While the priest wavered in his walk around the back of that first level with his censer cleansing, his eyes remained steadily fixed on the young man. There sat the well dressed politicians, the wealthy, the self-righteous, the prideful, the judges and all like people in silent prayer. On his walk, the priest failed to cast an eye on those seated in the second level, he looked only at the young man, as if willing him to take a seat. There on the second level sat the less wealthy, the lesser of influence, the less pious, the fornacators, the idolaters, and all like people in quiet observance. The young man turned, and walking up a few steps, he took a seat on the third level. There amongst the poor, the outcast, the naked, the homosexuals and all like people. The young man sat restless, not able to sit for the complete sermon, he rose and headed for the exit door. He opened the door, and standing just outside the door was a Jewish rabbi tightly holding his bible, next to him, a Christian minister holding tightly his bible. Both men looked at the young man and smiled. The young man quickly shut the door seemingly upset. He then reached inside his jacket and retrieved a leather bound book. And I, being in his spirit, said unto him, 'what is that which you hold in your hand." To which he replied with great pride, " This which I hold in my hand is my Lutheran bible." Then I said unto him, "You walk in the Temple, you take a seat amongst the unseen who are the least, still you dare not walk amongst the most without you pride!" "Indeed I say to you, this is not what Jesus wants," "For as surely as the Bible is the True word of the Father, all else that humankind has built around it, is not."
