                                          Ghazal 323


Persian:  Turk e mun, raftam zay kooyat ger zay mun gashti malool
              Khairbaadat meekunam, yak sajda e farda qabool
Urdu:      Daekh ker koochay maen mujh ko too hay kuin itna malool
              Bandagi aaya houn kernay, ker mera sajda qabool

English:=== She does not want me in her street
                  For she's afraid I'll kiss her feet
                                                  -

Persian:  Zoar o zar baashand asbaab e wisaal, amma mara
              Neest cheezay ghair e zaari dar tamanna e wasool
Urdu:      Zoar o zar haen wasl kay asbaab, laikin hay na kuchh
              Pass maeray ghair e zaari dar tamanna e wasool

English:=== And she won't become my honey bunny
                  For I've no power; I've no money

Persian:  Dam ba dam az khoon e dil baa to naweesam naama laik
              Juz naseem e subhedam deeger namee yaabam rasool
Urdu:      Dam ba dam baa khoon e dil likhhta houn maen naama walay
              Juz naseem e subhedam deeger naheen koie rasool

English:=== So I've to beg the morning breeze
                  To go to her with all my pleas

Persian:  Dar hareem e kaaba e roohaanian yaani keh dil
              Juz khayaal e doast kas ra neest imkaan e nazool
Urdu:      Dar hareem e kaaba e roohaanian yaani keh dil
              Juz khayaal e doast ab kis ko hay imkaan e nazool

English:=== While she is there in every part
                  Of the temple of love, I call my heart

Persian:  Aaqilaan ger ghaafil and az haal e KHUSRO, aeb neest
              Az majaaneen kay khabar daarand arbaab e aqool
Urdu:      Haal e KHUSRO say ager haen aaqilaan ghaafil toe kya
              Majnooun say baikabar rehtay haen arbaab e aqool
