was never meant this way to be that life would find me praying for other times and places (who can see) the way we came now grown apart the path we cleared between promises entangled and who was I to blame when night awoke and you became the keeper immortal flame burning hot beyond the noonday sun was never love forsaken what we knew we carry still there are no words can take this truth away will not I find you (sleeping) just the same when I am come again lacing ribbons through the trees and clearing every web of circumstance change is come and I’ve already written all I know there are rivers still await our will to flow
