One More Season Once again it’s fall, The pumpkins’ on the post. The fallen leaves abundant My heart remains the host. To this world of splendor Brisk breezes chill my cheeks. At night I lie awake Reflecting on remaining weeks. Frost now coats the trees Crunch beneath our feet Smell of apples in the air One more pie to eat. How soon the season is over Once more we’ll close the door. On this part of year’s cycle Seasons changing evermore. But for tonight the wonder Fills me with delight Ghostly Goblins around us On this hallowed night
