My Precious Kevin
A poem I wrote when I was a young mother, looking down at my baby boy with awe and love. |
Looking at my newborn sleeping He's an angel in my keeping Making sweet contented sounds As he dreams Shining hair creates a halo As I softly sing of rainbows Creating color in his sighs I'm in awe! A brand new baby boy Filling my life with so much joy I look at him in wonder You're really mine? I give thanks to God above With all my undying love For this tiny little treasure I’ll forever adore. I’ll cherish each moment while he’s small Making beautiful memories to recall Telling him when he's all grown How time has flown! I love you, Kevin! |
