When I gaze at my granddaughter,
Heart aflutter,
At her beauty
That all can see.

I thank God daily for His grace,
Love on her face,
Laugh filled with glee,
How sweet to me.

Baby girl, sweet, precious, Aylin,
Lovely within,
Precious, without
Even one doubt.

The Minute Poem is written in strict iambic meter.

The poem is formatted into 3 stanzas of 8,4,4,4; 8,4,4,4; 8,4,4,4 syllables.

The rhyme scheme is as follows: aabb, ccdd, eeff
