Sukkah
for the Writer's Camp

Sukkah

I have built this sukkah
for my soul.
A tent in the park
four poles of bamboo
a palm frond roof
so I can see the sky.
A structure of memory
and empathy,
fragile and fleeting
like our lives.
I am the 99%.
