from silence
was delivered
one word above the still
please -
and I would listen
for an answer to my will
something more
worth coming back
would wait in patient grace
for proof someone had
heard me
in worlds beyond this place

I must be queen
I must exist as someone else
had dreamed
was come for me
a message of redemption
thought unseen
a light to glow
across the night
would cling to every bough
til none were left
but those without the will
to question how -

would keep the flame
else prophets fall
beneath the weight of truth
I can't recall for certain
the reason I was come
rocked against a song
already knew
