the place of going to
would that I knew another way to love -

would that I knew
another way
that I might love
the same
but only this
with all that I have been

as serenades
from somewhere else
I thought I saw you passing
it must have been
a shadow burned
against
the height of day

a moment there
I dare not say
forgotten
as I was sure to turn around
and watch you go again
something changed -
as light to breath
forever stretched
to fill it

became the place
of going to
your fate to realize -
undone by love
the only way
I knew
