As Seasons Change …
Early morning frost Every stalk is filigreed Fairy dust embossed Pixie jewels on ev’ry weed Falling autumn leaves Swirling clouds of red and gold Every beast perceives Daily warmth, but nightly cold Southward winging geese Seeking out a warmer clime Wooly coats increase Readiness for winter’s time Frosty morning breath Gelid fog upon the air Sleep akin to death Hibernation to prepare Fortified, secure Winter’s chill befalls the earth Nature will insure Spring’s return for full rebirth Until then, we rest Sleeping deep and dreaming dreams Wait for Mother’s Nature’s schemes. Naga Uta format -- The syllable structure is 5/7/5/7/5/7/5/7/5/7. The syllable structure for the end of the poem is 5/7/7. Rhyme and meter not required.
