Angel in the Kingdom One day there was a princess. Her given name was Rose of Onedia kingdom. Rose had been a very happy princess, and grew up to be a very beautiful one. She had dark wavy hair. It was always brushed and styled. Her eyes were always bright and seem to sparkle with happiness. Rose had a big heart that cared for all her subjects situation. Rose became a young queen when the King's illness caused him not to be able to act as a king. King John was a proud and strong king, and he did not expect any weakness. The kingdom wondered if Rose would be as harsh as King John had been. They would soon get to know the true Rose. Rose was a good and kind queen. She visited the children of her kingdom. She made sure that there was not a family that did without food. If they could not afford to feed their children, they were asked to come to the castle to eat. She was a wonderful queen. Queen married duke Phillip. Phillip was not to be called king, but Rose made him as much ruler as if he did have the title. It wasn't very long until the queen began to feel sick. She was never sick, and now she could not handle certain smells. Pork roasting in an open pit sent her running. She was truly feeling strange. The queen was told that she was going to have a baby. She put her servants to work at building a nursery. She went throughout the kingdom telling everyone that they would soon have an addition to the kingdom. She would bring children into the courtyard to tell stories and to practice her mothering. She was sure that the child would not be raised by a governess. She was going to care for her child herself. She was not sure how to do this because she was was not raised by her mother. There were so many good thoughts. She was going to teach her child how to be a kind and gentle king or queen. The child would grow up to be fair, strong, and dedicated member of the kingdom. Now was time for the royal baby to be born. Well, it wasn't his full time. He had wanted to come early. The midwife informed the queen that Prince Hunter had little chance to live more than a few hours. This did not stop the Queen's faith. She just knew that Hunter would make it. However, she did not know that the Prince had something you could not see. While queen had everyone in the Kingdom to gather for prayer. Prince Hunter was being cradled by the angels of God keeping him alive. When the kingdom began to doubt the queen would have another gathering. The prince could feel the angel stroking his head, and filling him with more strength. His weight would go from a little more than one pound to two then three. One day Hunter seems to be giving up on life. The queen's physicians had no idea of what to do. Queen Rose goes into the nursery. She falls to her knees. She called out to God. "You gave this gift to me, and you have a work for him to do." Rose cried to God. "He is from you, and I know that you can heal anything that is trying to take him from us." With tears in her eyes the queen turns her attention to her son. She notices that over his bed (with his hand on the baby) stood an angel of God. "Be of Good Cheer God has found mercy for the child. He indeed has a plan for this baby. He will grow up to bring peace to your kingdom. He will rule with kindness and mercy. The mercy he has found with God. The kingdom will find in him. This child will live to be an old and wise king." With these words the angel disappears. The days turned into weeks, the weeks to months, and finally the months into years. The child had times that the physicians had given up. They did not know the secret that Queen Rose carried in her heart. One day she went to pray for Prince Hunter. She found that he was smiling as if he know her secret, and he was totally as any other baby. The queen knew then that God had truly blessed. The kingdom had never seen a better king or better times with any other rule. King Hunter was the inspiration for peace of the kingdom.
