A quick short story about a japanese demon. |
| Nikolaus (Klaus) It was time. He needed to feed, and was more than happy to satisfy that need for flesh, human flesh. He felt the familiar burn, the flaming sensation at the nape of his neck, and he sighed. Relief. The relief as his head completely lifted off his body and flew. Klaus flew like an angel through the night sky. His body was still standing in his little apartment, completely inanimate, but still stood. He laughed at the sight of his body, the body without a head. He turned to the fresh night air. Klaus looked directly ahead of him; he had already planned tonight’s meal. It would be that lovely young woman that was shy and rarely ventured out of her bedroom. Her fear would be amazing; the feel of her fear could be a meal in itself. He hovered outside her window for a few minutes and watched her sleeping. His silent rippling wings brushing each side of her window as he hovered just outside her window. He edged closer without meaning to; he was too hungry to simply watch her. She had left her window open. Stupid girl. If she had known what he was going to do, she would have kept her window firmly shut with an excessive number of locks on it. That wouldn't have kept him out, but it may have helped her life be a few minutes longer. Klaus glided over, so he was right above her head, his head level with hers. He took a deep breath and let out a blood-curdling scream. A terrifying sound to anybody’s ears. The scream would be the initial fear inducer. Her eyes burst open, and she stared blindly at him for a few moments before she registered what was floating before her. She opened her mouth, but no sound came out. Her scream was silent, but the feel of her terror was clear. Her eyes fluttered, and her breathing quickened before she passed out. Klaus took this opportunity of stillness to consume her. Every single one of his teeth sharpened to be like razor blades, and he bit into her stomach. He started at the stomach and travelled up and back down again to make sure he had a thorough feeding. The sucking sounds subsided, all that was left was a pile of bones and blood on the bed. |
