A lullaby.

Sleep, little one, close those eyes.
There now, the sun lost its shine.
Now is the time to let go,
You're not alone--safe and fine.
Oh, you know you are mine.

I'll hold you close to my heart.
Hear now, the prose it imparts.
And we'll snuggle down to rest,
Knowing you're blessed--bright and smart.
So you guessed, you're my heart.

Don't cry, baby, I'll be here.
There's no maybe, always near.
Yes, all my days are for you.
Love, I'll be true--wipe your tear.
As you do, know no fear.
