Turn Away
Rated: 13+ | Poetry | Relationship | #1824864
Asking why she cheated, telling her how she hurt me, and knowing I'll never get over it
Love, did you try to resist him?
Did you cry to yourself and whisper
Something along the lines of
‘But I still love her too.’
Or did you just look into his eyes
And feed off the sex
And drink all my love
To vomit it up in the morning

The written words
Flat on paper
I’d lift them high and scream so loud
'Till your ear drums shattered
And the shards came to rest in your heart
And you felt the fucking damage you’ve inflicted

Of course I can't give you what he can
And I can't stop you moving on
But I can still hold a precious love
A precious pain
And watch you from afar

Did you really turn your back on me?
How could you, why would you do that?
Perhaps you thought,
As I hid my tears
I had turned my back on you?

I hate you and I love you
And I hate you all the more
Knowing I will never stop loving you
