The Decline
![]() A nation in decline is charted not by the ambit of a curve but by a single line, once started, that continues and does not swerve. Where has our spirit gone? When did we lose our sense of community settling to be a pawn that’s not free while leaders tout disunity? Too many have given full measure for us to accept the “new norm” of a nation riven. We treasure our right to no longer conform. Notes An entry in "Pond Poetry" Prompt: Image Form: Tri-fall The Tri-fall, created by Jan Turner, consists three 6-line stanzas, for a total of 18 lines. The rhyme scheme is a,b,c,a,b,c and meter for each stanza is as follows: 6/3/8, 6/3/8. This form requires little to no punctuation and can be written on any subject matter. ambit ~ circumference; circuit riven ~ rent or split apart. Thank you for taking time to read my words. I would appreciate it if you took a moment and left a comment. Your reaction, impressions, criticisms, - yes, even praise Ken
