Mom And Dad

My parents lay waiting on cemetery hill.
For me to visit them and fulfill their will.
I know they are waiting to hear my steps.
So I walk above them as the Sun sets.

I speak of the family and how things are.
I tell about their children health thus far.
I am contented here where they both lay.
I know they hear me as I kneel and pray.

Now I can go home until I return again.
To talk to my parents to find joy within.
For there they will rest on cemetery hill.
I will soon return to fulfill my parents will.
