Who's the real mother here?

The darkness of her heart is seen,
in the clouds so black and grey.
A young boy sits beside her,
refusing to go and play.

For the mother he has never known,
and never has denied.
This is his biological mother,
who is sick and going to die.

He bows his head, says a prayer,
for the mother he never knew.
A reunion he still yearns for,
to hear from her what’s true.

It’s normal and it’s natural,
to have a wish like this.
To find out where you come from,
and see if somethings missed.

His hand was gently taken,
his tears were wiped away.
The only mother that he’s known
came to take his pain away.

In silence you can feel their love,
as mother and as son.
They yearn to have a special bond,
that is too strong to come undone.

In death and all it’s sorrow,
of memories never to come.
Such a tragic loss to someone,
who gave up her only son.
