Unkind Words

I’m sorry for the times I’ve hurt you.
For all the pain I might have caused
deep within your heart.

Anger does that sometimes.
The things I said were to hurt you,
but never as deeply as they have.
Will you forgive me?

Unkind words can be very painful
especially if they are directed
at someone you love.
You are the person I love.

The unkind words I've said to you,
I can’t take back.
I hope that in time
you will forget those unkind words,
and remember the nice things that come
from deep within my heart.
