Falls End
As the year becomes November With trepidation we remember The season in silence slips away. All too quickly it is gone The melody of fall’s song Winter in the wings waiting. Warmth of Sunshine hard to find Balmy breezes left behind New fragrances fill the air. The cold snap of a windy chill As it gives us all our fill Of abundant colorlessness The season"s color now brown In our every weary town Preparing for what is to come. Soon flakes will be a swirl As snow embraces the world And Winter comes into her own. And so the year moves on Another season gone But one more being born. The ongoing beauty of nature A Forever-changing picture Entertains us throughout the year.
