The sun setting below the pacific ocean's horizon sent a glare over the frothy surface and into the vibrant blues of a teen who perched on the edge of one of California's bays with her toes burried beneath the gritty golden sand. Squinting, she raised her right hand up abover her her blonde brow and scanned the waters' boundary. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary; seaguls floated on the Pacific wind current up above, wves lapped at the rocks that spuratically jutted from the shore, and vivid blues, grees, yellows, oranges, and reds danced vigorously atop the entire scene. Nothing was misplaced.
"Macy". The sudden vocal made her jump, and she exhaled and relaxed her shoulders once she realized it was only her father. Ho walked over and dropped down in the sand beside her. She appeared awkwardly stout beside his long lanky frame. A man about six feet five inches, Macy's dad had a childish wonder about him. Smoothed faced and full of laughs, Jared always wore an oversized toothy grin along with a twinkle in his full brown eyes. His long bony legs stuck out straight in front of him while his hairy arms hed him up from behind. "What's my little girl doing out here? You know the saying about the seas at twilight? " Macy twirled a strand of her thick, long, wavy, platinum blonde hair around an index finger as was her custom when in thought. "I don't know, Dad. Something magical comes about I guess..." Patting her on the back gently, he stands and brushes the seat of his pants clean with his hands. "Well, since magical things wont be happening before work time tomorrow I'm going to get ready for bed." Before he made his way across the beach to their small secluded haouse at the end of the shore line he asked her not to stay out to late as not to worry her mother, and Macy nodded before looking back to the calm waters. The sky was now nearing twilight. and the sea breeze carried with it an eery chill. Goosebumps now rose on Macy's bare arms and legs. and she rubbed them furiously to arm them again. She didn't understand the strange impulse to stay throughout arose. something unseen urged her to reside for just a bit longer. Something magical. "Macy." At the sound of her mother's voice, the teen took off down the shore, leaving bits of clumped dirt in her wake. What ever conjuration that had once entranced her now only possessed the power of a forgotten memory.
