The stagecoach
The stage driver was lost, he never knew the way Yet the roads he kept on driving day after day He took us down dark trails then calmly asked for pay The riders frightened sat there with not a word to say None ever stopped to ponder, what if they chanced to walk None ever turned to the others and respectful had a talk Well I’m going to tell you something you do not want to hear The destination is up to you the book it makes that clear The fact is you are responsible; really there is nothing to fear Why do we hope and assume another will be so wise That we will let them drive us through a world filled with lies It seems self doubt demands we let others lead our lives However I believe in you, I just wish you would please try There is no shame in effort, just in failure to grab the reins I promise you you’re just as good as those who endless wreck the train Is it truly best the evil we know, than that we just might see? I for one refuse to accept that can possibly be It’s time so please stand up and say, at least once just for show We put you there and can take you out… the answer it is no!
