NEW PROMPT: Write a short story or poem about seeing someone who looks just like you in a crowded mall and following that person. Where do they go, and what do they do?? WALKING TOWARD MYSELF I saw you walking toward me; could not believe my eyes! You were a perfect stranger, dressed up in my disguise! I felt like I was walking, Alone, and toward myself! Like I had stored my double apart and on a shelf. Now, she’d come back to visit without my knowing why. We had to make connections— could not let this pass by! We smiled and stared politely; did not know what to say. We stepped into a bookstore; you must have known my way! We picked out all the same books to take back home to read. We then picked out some music to satisfy my need to soothe this crazy feeling and wrap up our strange day— because my mind was reeling; thought I had lost my way! But really I had found it, Found a new secret key. I had to know it would fit so I’d really know ME!
