|This poem was written for the, "Journey Through Genres" contest.
The genre prompt is NATURE.
The poet is sad because there are no rhymes for the the word, nature, so he employs Wolf, who also has no rhyming mate to write a poem in free verse.
"There is no rhyme in nature," howls the wolf
Birds and lizards
The words of wizards'
Like whales and snails
Beast or fowl
Now howl, in nature, "no rhyme for the wolf"
The poorest of tourists on this planet's granite
Chorused most sorest, in the fallen forest
No rhyme, with no reason
In nature's last season
Oh howl, so foul, now nature's lone wolf
Needs and exceeds then impedes plain's rains
No grains, and no feeds
Just some dust and some weeds
On the edge of nature, the wolf's silence is heard
No breeze through the trees
No song of a bird
No nature, no wolf, and no rhyme
No rhyme, yet, there's time set, for one final notion
The unfulfilled promises adrift on the ocean
In nature, the wolf scowls, there is no rhyme
