What is that noise I hear at night,
The one that gives me such a fright, And stops when I switch on the light, That is so bright, that is so bright. I do no recognize the sound, Is it an echo from Earth’s mound, Did I hear something hit the ground, What have you found, what have you found? Do you think that it is a rat, Or could it be a huge gray bat, I know that it is not a gnat, Is it the cat, is it the cat? Line count: 12 Form: Monotetra has 4-line stanzas, with no stanza limit. The poem must have at least 2 stanzas. Each stanza has its own mono rhyme scheme. Each line has 8 syllables, with the last line repeating 4 syllables.
