Daniel the Red-nosed Drinker

Daniel the red-nosed drunkard.
Had a very shiny nose.
And if you ever saw it,
You would even say it glowed.

All of the other drinkers
Used to watch him gulp each drink.
They never rode in his car.
They didn’t want to go to the clink.

Then one foggy Christmas eve,
Daniel’s wife called him to say,
“Daniel let your friends bring you home.”
“So you won’t dent our brand new car’s good chrome.”

Then all his good friends offered.
To be a designated “D.”
And Daniel decided much later,
To make his drinking a special history.
