A New Poem
By: J. A. Stevens The blank page stares at me It glares at me As if to say Ok Lets see what you got I’m your’s for the taking If you have it in you This is what you want To speak to the world Or are you chicken shit Are you afraid to fail Or just afraid to try My mind has the will But what of my heart Someone’s going to read this And what will they think Who cares says I If they think me a fool What of it It’s my poem And I don’t care who likes it Or doesn’t like it (22 lines)
