Rising Stars Founder's Award 2011

I am deeply honored and humbled to have been selected as one of the 2011 "RISING STARS ! "  Founder's Award recipients. I received the following message with the award:

In marking RISING STARS' FIFTH ANNIVERSARY, we considered how best to celebrate this wonderful occasion. Our first thought was to find a way to thank our talented writers, valued staff, sponsors, teachers, and exceptional supporters for the many and varied programs, events, writing challenges, and contributions that have shaped Rising Stars over the years.

It is with this in mind that we've selected very special friends & colleagues like you who have played pivotal roles in Rising Stars' daily experience to recognize during this holiday season. In just 5 years, the Quill Awards has become a central, much respected event on Writing.Com. Your annual awards provide motivation for many writers to produce their best work. It is with great joy that we are able to recognize you with our Founders Award, 2011, for validating & shining a bright light on the works of a wildly diverse selection of emerging and accomplished writers each year. This gift seems meager when measured against the wonderful work you do for W.Com on behalf of all of us who write.
