The Taint of Malevolence

'Tis the time of black and white
That there was only that dark night
How we had tried to ensure our wins
Only made us realise the impact of our sins

2112, is the year that is
Everything we once knew is now his
That evil, runs rampant throughout the stars
And we forget what is rightfully ours

To this day, that evil still stands strong
And has lived great decades long
During which, has brought creatures to life
Where we die by the hand of a bloodied knife

It has been long since there was hope
That the strong had succumbed to dope
And the weak followed the dark one's will
Which only ended... in a silent still

Yet, from the ashes of known defeat
Came the warriors we know as elite
That we would finally end that demonic fiend,
Since the day we had first intervened

When dusk came, we began the assault
And pushed hard towards his guarded vault
Then we entered his dark malevolent fort
And his devious plan did we ultimately thwart
And as his strength became his fall
We left... knowing we gave it our all
