Betrayal I went forth on this winter’s eve To seek the one I love And if you know me, you have to believe It was sent from the Lord above I trekked across town in the hard driving snow Hoping for just one hour To have her in my hand, never to let go Seemed to me the ultimate power I had waited all day, with a driving lust Tonight would finally be the time After the day I had had it seemed so just Our moments together sublime I entered the bar and took a seat Instantly I knew something wasn’t right The one I came for, wasn’t here to meet The sign said “No Guinness, only Bud Light.”
