                                                Ghazal 376


Persian:  Yak dam faraamoasham naie gercheh niaari yaad e mun
              Insaaf e husnat meedaham baa aan keh nadhi daad e mun
Urdu:      Maen bhoolta tujh ko naheen, kerta naheen too yaad e mun
              Lay ker maen aata daad houn, sunta naheen too daad e mun

English:=== My woeful heart you are always near
                  But what it says, you do not hear
                                                      -

Persian:  Guftam keh nazd e mun nasheen, magzaar zaaram een chuneen
              To naazki o naazneen, tang aaie az faryaad e mun
Urdu:      Dil ko tasalli day meray aa ker too kuchh, aey naazneen
              Hay baar khaatir per teri gercheh bohat faryaad e mun

English:=== And although you are made of stone
                  It bothers you if I moan and groan
                                                        -

Persian:  Shab moonisam Perveen bawad, roazam zay khoon baaleen bawad
              Paiwasta ger gham een bawad miskeen dil e naashaad e mun
Urdu:      Moonis hoie Perveen hay, pur khoon hua baaleen hay
              Aisa hua ghamgeen hay miskeen dil e naashaad e mun

English:=== But when at night I'm in agony
                  The stars and the moon feel sorry for me
                                                        -

Persian:  Jaan meeshawad az tan juda, heetch ar guzar uftad tura
              Booay biaari aey saba zaan sosan e aazaad e mun
Urdu:      Hotie hay jaan tan say juda, ker kuchh raham behr e Khuda
              Lay ker too aa boo aey saba az sosan e aazaad e mun

English:=== And I'm also grateful to the morning air
                  For bringing to me the scent of her hair
                                                          -

Persian:  Aey dil dar aan zulf e do ta meebaash tasleem e bala
              Kaasaan nakhaahad shud riha az daam e een sayyaad e mun
Urdu:      Aey dil too dar zulf e do ta tasleem ker her ik bala
              Kerta naheen hergiz riha dil ko kabhee sayyaad e mun

English:=== So I keep telling my broken heart
                  You'd grin and bear it If you're smart
                                                        -

Persian:  Faryaad e KHUSRO heetch geh ander dilash nagrift reh
              Gercheh kunad dar sang reh een naala o faryaad e mun
Urdu:      Maen ker saka dil maen naheen us shoakh kay reh KHUSRAVA
              Gercheh keray hay sang maen reh naala o faryaad e mun
