Sandy glances at the tavern entrance and see Marty, with a frown, strolling to the bar. She pours the patron's drink and then struts to where Marty sit.
"What is this shit I hear about you and Larry?" Marty snarls.
"I told you when you went up, I wouldn't be waiting for you to get out."
"With my best friend?"
"You’re the one who left the door open; I told you to stop leaving it open."
"That’s a bullshit excuse."
"You kept getting busted and I told you what would happen if you didn’t stop going to jail."
The other bartender, Janis, steps behind Sandy in a protective manner.
"Well, I am out on the streets now and I intend to stay out."
"That’s hard to believe," Janis says in a smirk manner.
Sandy tells him. "The thrill is gone between us."
"Not for me, I’m going to talk to my old buddy."
"Leave him alone," Sandy snaps. "He’s been good to me."
With the bottom of his fist, Marty hits his chest and then struts out of the tavern.
"I better call Larry," Sandy says.

Two police detectives take their glare off Marty for a moment to look at the female public defender enter the interview room. She introduces herself. Marty looks at her. "I didn’t kill anybody," he tells her.
"We got your knife that you tried to wipe clean," One Detective says.
"I got drunk and passed out that night."
"You mean after you killed Larry."
"I didn’t do it."
"You sure drive a hard bargain," she says.
The detectives look at the public defender. "What do you mean by that?" The Other Detective asks.
"I just wanted to get your attention."
"You got it."
"This questioning of my client is over."

Janis looks at the two detectives. She smiles. "What did you say?"
"We found on the knife that killed Larry, his DNA along with yours was on it."
"You served time, that is how we got your DNA."
She glances at the band-aid on her pointing finger.
"We believe you saw Marty that night, passed out, and you got his knife, and you knew Larry was waiting for Sandy, and you got close enough and killed him."
"Why would I want to kill him?"
"You’re a Lesbian, and we know you and Sandy had a fling before she met Larry."
"It wasn’t a fling for me."
"That’s what Sandy called it."
"She was the best pussy I ever had."
"We don’t believe Marty skipped on us, so do you want to tell us where you buried him?" END
