“The Mind’s Cafe”

I dove into the sea
Of her willowy eyes
Lost in that reverie
The Green Faerie:
A bottle full of lies
Turned to dreams
Of emerald castles
On Eucalyptic shores,
Fields of mint and basil
Like no place before -
Here or hereafter.

Do let me take
One last taste
Before I wake:
A tiny sip from
The mind’s cafe,
The frivolous frosting
On my comatose cake.
