Voyaging to heaven
Each soul must pass through tests Sistered with a body; Single entity of Ego, brain, and spirit - Love’s divine creation. Once born into matter, Forever journeying, Young souls mature, become Open, optimistic, Undying explorers Roaming the worlds of God. Death is the key and door Exiting matter’s plain. Spiritual attributes Increased by passing tests Remain with the soul when Entering paradise. Notes about this poem: The word “sistered” in the 3rd line in the 1st stanza refers to the traditional concept that the soul or spirit is considered female. The word “love’s” in the 6th line in the 1st stanza refers to God or the divine creator. Line count: 18 Form: A Spirit’s Vessel is composed of 3 6-line stanzas of 6 syllables each. This is an acrostic poem, which spells out a word or phrase vertically using the first letter of each line. The 1st stanza spells out “Vessel”. The 2nd stanza spells out “of your”. The 3rd stanza word is up to the poet. The theme of this poem is uplifting and spiritual. Rhyme is not required.
