I hide the truth of what I feel because I have no proof it's real.

The secret is mine hidden away only to be revealed some lonely day.

The pain is harder to conceal because the feelings behind it are real.

The tears I shed fall down like rain how and when do I get off this train.

Why didn't I know that love could hurt all I do is grind my heels in the dirt.

So I put on my smile just wishing all the while.

I could just take your hand as they strike up the band.

Dancing with you as you held me near knowing in your heart you called me dear.

Having your sweet lips pressed to mine knowing with me you'd cross the line.

Holding me tight pressed against your chest. Hearing you adored me and loved me the best.

Forever and always...heart, mind and soul.

Oh, if we only could learn our role.

Instead I'm left with dreams that are broken away only to haunt me every night and day.







ps I wrote this in around 15 minutes, sometimes I just get inspired, although I did tweek it a little. Funny thing is I couldn't think of a title, so I came up with Journal entry 1:11, which happened to just be the time 2 minutes ago.
