                                          Ghazal 381


Persian:  Gercheh zay khoo e naazukat soakhta gasht jaan e mun
              Soo e to meekashad hunooz een dil e naatawaan e mun
Urdu:      Khoo say teri jali hay jaan gercheh meri, aey jaan e mun
              Gham nay walay qawi kiya hay dil e naatawaan e mun

English:=== In the fire of love I'm burning, my dear
                  My pain has never been quite so severe
                                                    -

Persian:  Khaab namaand khalq ra dar hama shehr az ghamat
              Dour shuneeda meeshawad dar dil e shab fughaan e mun
Urdu:      So na sakay tamaam shab shehr maen loag aek pal
              Soaz o gudaaz o dard say thi yuin bhari fughaan e mun

English:=== With so much pain and when I weep
                  People who see me, they cannot sleep
                                                    -

Persian:  Guftiam az cheh naakhushi, ranj e to cheest, baaz goo
              Douri e doastaan o bus dour zay doastaan e mun
Urdu:      Kaisay karoun bayaan maen, kerti hay haal jo mera
              Ghurbat o furdat e watan, douri e doastaan e mun

English:=== Away from you, oh, how I suffer
                  And the problem I have cannot be tougher

Persian:  Dour makun zay daamanash gard e mun, aey saba, az aank
              Dar reh e o az een hawas khaak shud istakhaan e mun
Urdu:      Daaman e yaar say na ker us ko juda too aey saba
              Shouq o hawas say jo bana khaak hay istakhaan e mun

English:=== So without you, darling, I will go bust
                  And soon will become a handful of dust

Persian:  Doash zay aah e dil mara soakhta bood lab walay
              Bakht e mun aank naam e sheh bood bar een zabaan e mun
Urdu:      Dil say nikal kay soakhta kerti hay aah lab meray
              Aaway hay naam jab kabhee shaah ka bar zabaan e mun

English:=== But luckily we have a righteous king
                  To whom our troubles we all can bring
                                                    -

Persian:  Shaah e jahaan Jalaal Deen aank ba yak ishaaratash
              Doulat e baikaraana shud mehnat e baikaraan e mun
Urdu:      Kerta hay ik ishaara e shaah e jahaan Jalaal Deen
              Kulfat e baikaraana sab doalat e baikaraan e mun

English:=== To the meek and weak he is a friend
                  And on his kindness we can always depend
                                                  -

Persian:  Bagzarad e neeyooftad heetch ba KHUSROVASH nazar
              Paik e shitaab meerawad Turk e subukinaan e mun   
Urdu:      Fursat e yak nazar naheen howay hay KHUSRAVA usay
              Jaa'ay hay purshitaab yuin Turk e subukinaan e mun
