The man stood before the wooden structure, a sanctuary where the fire-breather was said to inhabit, a place that was once a meat packing warehouse. He'd heard the stories of the menacing beast many times over and had to see if in fact it lived. For a long moment he gathered his thoughts on how to proceed. Not wanting to disturd the beast or be seen he decided on crawling throught the front gate staying low to the ground. Being careful not ot make any noise he crawled inside, and once inside his vision was blocked by piles of wooden crates. Hearing a heavy breath on his left, he turned moving towards it while looking for an opening in hopes of catching a glimpse of the feared creature. Crawling a few feet he found that opening and was amazed at the sight before him. There it was, the fire-breather, it long tail with scaly greenish flesh held close to its body as it slept, it was a hugh and scary thing to see.Suddenly it moved and began to lift its head. It seemed it was expecting the man for it cried outin a deep mournful sound, "You come in fear seeking truth with a faithless heart... and it will not be given!" It turned its head as it spoke, and behind the words came a great burst of fire that shot between the crates to almost incinerate the man. The man quickly crawled away from the fire hoping to keep his life. He crawled until he found a chute that lead out the warehouse and crawled into it. He slid down the chute and landed hard on the other side to find himself once again in the fenced in yard. As he regained his composure he noticed a blackness on the ground that covered it from one end of the fence to the other. He got up,his eyes focused and he saw that the blackness was slowly moving. He then realized what the blackness was and his mind began to spin ashe pondered what would be worst, being eaten alive by the flesh eating bugs or being burned alive by the fire-breather.As the flesh-eaters came closer he decided to take his chances with the fire-breather. The man prayed mightily as he lifted his body up off the ground, but the flesh-eaters lifted up right after him. He went inside the gate and up over the crates and the flesh-eaters were now swirling around him. He swatted at them, feeling them nipping on his skin, in effort to remove them off his body. He prayed faithfully for divine assistance as the flesh-eaters were trying to consume his flesh. Hearing a crackling sound around him, he looked down to see the fire-breather with a hand pointed in his direction, shooting burst of heat zapping the flesh-eaters. Focusing more intentlly, he realized who the fire-breather was, whit His glowing eyes and warm smile that brought the man back to where his faith should be, he was instantly overwhelmed by an inner calm knowing he was not alone in his ordeal.
