Trusting A Horse

Feeling free
For one of the first times in my life

Riding that horse
Over the natural made jumps
And the rocky terrain

Feeling her muscles beneath me
Growing tight and then springing loose

The soft canter
And the bouncy trot

Knowing that she will take care of me
Through anything

Rain and snow
Sun and wind

Loving that horse
With all of my heart

Trusting a thousand pound animal
With my life

And knowing
That she wouldn’t let anything happen to me

When I ride my horse
I feel like I can do anything
I feel like I’m flying

I know that when I am riding
I can be who I want to be
I can be free from everything
I can be me
